Retired former banker who lives in the mountains of Virginia in the USA. Been gardening since I was about 5 yrs old with my father. We had numerous plots we worked not only for us but for elders in our neighborhood so all could have fresh food. Sort of resented all the work as I grew up but now I am glad since he taught me so much. With all the food safety issues, glad we grow and can/freeze/dehydrate so much of what we need. Was studying to become a Naturopathic doctor several years ago but decided to just get the degree and do my own thing and help people without being worried about getting paid. Have met so many wonderful people that way.
