My basil has dark spots on some of its leaves. Any idea why this may be?
To me it seems a bit old and overgrown. How old is your plant? A bit hard to tell from the pic.
I have seen it too if it has been growing for too long, but mostly on older and lower leaves that don’t get that much light due to upper growth. It was much better when I cut it back strongly and removed lower darkened leaves. New growth was nice, but not for pods older than 4 months.

It’s on the upper ones. The upper ones are good and the plant is 49 days old.
