Hi! I have had my basil plants for about ~4 weeks now, and while the “main stems” continue to grow beautifully and seem healthy, there are lots of small, brown leaves/stems around the healthy leaves. Is this normal? Should I be concerned/doing something to mitigate this?
Can you tell the temperature around the plants and the humidity?
You can remove the brown parts and leaves. I’d advise removing the white cover lid to help the plant pod breathe more. I think it may be because of moist conditions and mold. But you can try to pat the mold away with paper tissue and a dash of cinnamon.
Could the smart garden be overwatered? Check if the water is lower than the cup’s bottom.
You are doing great! Just keep harvesting the basil by cutting it from the node and when it has reached 60 days, it might start to degrade as the nutrients are depleting.
