Romaine Lettuce - Will the plant produce new leaves after the original ones are picked off?
Yes it will, if harvested gradually.
Start harvesting (ca 25 days after planting) by picking off the larger outer leaves - the plant will produce more from its basal growing point. Harvest gradually until the plant is about 50 days old or it does not produce any more leaves. If you make a cut too low or damage the basal growing point, the plant will die and will not produce the 2nd harvest.

Yes! Pick the leaves from the outside and leave the center of the plant growing.
Just don’t let it age too old. A plant harvested leaf-by-leaf is not actually getting any younger and will look like a miniature palm tree- which is not pretty at all.
