I have harvested my green lettuce pod - is there anything we should do with the used pods afterwards?

Congratulations on your first lettuce harvest.
The pods are suitable for composting in the home environment or suitable to disposing with waste.
I have also seen some using the pods multiple times, as long as there are not many roots and the nutrients are still there.

@noilei depending on how you harvest the plants. You might be even able to plant them outside and get another round of plants going. Will be way slower, but it can be done.
