Hi there, i know the electricity is needed for the LED lights but am i allowed to turn off my click and grow after 16 hours instead of leaving it on while the LED goes off? Does the water tank need any type of electricity to operate?

No, the tank does not need any electricity.

Only the lamp needs power, so yes, you can do that.

I know this is old, but here’s what I did:
I use smartplugs, and set a schedule. So, it comes on and off depending on the time of day, as well as day of the week. This also allows me to “peak shave” on my electric bill, by reducing an hour or two of usage during the most expensive hours of the day.

which Smartplugs do you use? Are these wifi or bluetooth? Thanks

I use the CE Smart plugs. They’re the ones we get from Costco.

Taking the cost of the smart plug and the electric used by the smart plug in to account, how long do you estimate before using a smart plug becomes an actual saving?
