My tomato and pea plants are starting to produce, and it’s very exciting. I’m wondering when and how to harvest them so that the plants keep producing. Especially the peas. I’m thinking you want to give them time to grow big and fat, but maybe leaving them too long would make them less tasty. How do you encourage them to keep producing fruit? Thanks for tips!

Hi @MontrealDeb congrats! The first harvest is always exciting
Peas are short-lived plants and flowers/fruits just once. And once the fruits are forming the plant starts to degrade slowly, both pea and tomato.
But yes, don’t leave the pea pods on the plant for too long, harvest them when the pod is still shiny green.
Thank you, Mirjam!
