My sweet red pepper plans start out okay. Then the leaves shrivel and the plant looks like its dying. It fruited a few peppers but I think it could’ve been more. Any ideas?

Could you elaborate what/who has been damaging the leaves, do you have pets?
That’s the thing, I am not sure what has been damaging the leaves. I do have cats but I have not witnessed them damaging the leaves. The damages starts out as small cracks/holes in the leaf then eventually spreads to the entire leaf
Might be a bit late, but I would shake the plant around and see if you dislodge any caterpillars or other insects. That looks like insect damage to me.
