What are the little green balls in the soil?

A few times, when transplanting things to the outside, I noticed little light green balls under the plants. I didn’t think too much of them until I opened a pack of experimental pods this week, and there was one of these balls just floating about on it’s own, outside of the soil. Are these like some kind of fertiliser? Should we add them back to the pod when we find them?

Cheers

It’s just fertilizer to feed the plant. You may leave them in the soil while transplanting, if there is still some plant food inside the fertilizer prills, you may check/open one, if there is some left.

Thanks. I thought that was what they were, but good to check!

You are on the right track, don’t forget to feed your plants after transplanting!

Is this normal for the tomato plant. Lots of small balls can be seen. It’s been only a week but it seems a little odd. Thoughts
