I noticed this on my basil seeds this morning and was wondering if it’s mold or something? It’s taken a longer time to sprout compared to my previous time growing it and I’m unsure if it’s the age of the pods.
That’s quite normal - the seeds get moist and swollen before fully starting to germinate.
Some root hair may also come along but that isn’t mold.
