When should I remove the plastic cups?

I am new to C & G. When should I remove the plastic cups?? As soon as they begin sprouting or when they reach the top of the cups???

After a while you’ll be able to rely on your instincts for the best time to remove the clear germination domes, but the general rule of thumb is to remove them when your seedlings reach the top. The purpose of the domes is to provide a mini greenhouse for seed germination, but depending on your ambient temperature—near your garden—it can get quite warm under there. Even if all my seeds haven’t germinated I’ve often removed the domes if I’m satisfied with the number of seeds that have sprouted because they’re likely to be the strongest. HTH!
