Yes, plants tend to stretch themselves taller than usual, when there is a lack of light.
You can do a few things better next time when growing fruiting plants. You should thin plant pods to one seedling per pod. This way each plant would have more space and light to thrive. Currently, wild strawberry is also suffering from light deficiency. Click and Grow free app would provide you timed tips on plant care, once you add your plants to a selected garden.
At the moment, you may consider transplanting it to a pot or moving it to a Smart Garden 9, which has a much more favorable red light specter for fruiting plants. Trimming is not recommended, as chili forms flowers on the tip of the plant, but feel free to remove some of the largest leaves, if you see, that it could improve the situation.
