How do you thin wild strawberries?

Thinning tomatoes was straight-forward - one stem, one plant. Remove one, keep one.
Strawberries, need thinning to 2 per pod. However, they have multiple stems per plant. So how many plants are sprouted here, and what should I pull out?

Halp! And many thanks

Hi @nimnen

if I get it right you already have there two seedlings with multiple true leaves. For wild strawberry, it is ok to leave upto two seedlings per pod to grow. So, you don’t need to do anything at this point.

But for the future reference, thinning strawberry is very similar to how tomato and chili pods are thinned. Select the seedlings you wish to keep and gently pull out the ones you want to remove.

@Mirjam Thank you for the quick reply!

My main concern is that it looks like there will be multiple stems, instead of just one, even once it grows more, so it’s hard to tell how many seedlings sprouted.
