I planted the peppermint 5 weeks ago. I only have tiny sprouts, about about 5 mm or so. I think it grows way too slow ?? Should I throw the cup away and start over ? Or are there any reasons why its not growing ? My lettuce is growing really well, tomato and chives also. Basil, thyme and oregano also 5 weeks in and far from harvesting size growth, but bigger than the mint… are we doing something wrong ? Water level is fine. Refilled 2 times now in 5 weeks. Picture is growth after 5 weeks, all planted at the same time.
Hello @Kette
Nice to see you growing with us!
It is really small for a 5-week-old seedling, true. Herbs may be slower to germinate because it’s more common to grow from vegetative parts than from seeds.
Not sure why the growth is slow, but it can be due to too high/low temperatures, the breeze from windows, older plant pods, and so on…
If you have info about the production code (on the back of the package), you can send me the code and I can check the date.
You can start over, keep the plants, and be patient, or ask Click and Grow Support for new plant pods.

Thank you! I checked and should be all good with these codes.
What’s the room temperature? The plants may grow slower than usual if the temperature is below 20 degrees. Also Lettuce, Chives thrive in lower temperatures too.
And please get in touch with the support here, they can send you new pods.
Thank you for being patient! These plants will grow, as they have sprouted nicely. But if you’re willing to wait, I’d wait for 1-2 weeks, but it’s fine to change to new pods immediately.
Thanks Deborah
Room temp is 20.5 day and night. I will get in touch with support. Thanks.
