My peppers don’t go yellow

My yellow sweet peppers are quite big already, but they seem to not start turning yellow. Are they already ripe or should I wait some more? The leaves are already turning yellow.

That is a nice pepper.

  • You can pick them off and put them into a bag together with a ripe banana - the ethylene coming from the banana will make it ripe quite fast.
  • You can leave it on the plant for a couple more weeks and wait.

The plant is indeed going yellow. That is because it is in the end of its life cycle. It gives all of its energy to the fruit (seeds) and will then fade away.
