My purple peppers aren’t turning red. They’ve been purple for at least 5 weeks or so. Leaves are already getting dry. Should I still wait? Can they be consumed now?

Here are my peppers. The plant care instructions on your website says that they turned red when ripened. Mine aren’t turning red.

They will turn bright red soon, but you can also try some now- the purple ones also have heat in it. How old is your plant?
