What are the best low maintenance plants to grow if I am going to be traveling all summer?

I have a Smart Garden 9 and a Smart Garden 3. I plan on being away for at least a week at a time.

I would go for plants that require very little water.
Thyme, sage, rosemary, portulaca, and pot marigold.

I would stay away from french marigold. It drinks a lot.
Leafy greens also.

Great advice, thank you!

If it does not have to be edible, choose leafy ornamentals like Painted Nettle or Polka dot plant- no debris at all

I would avoid fruits also - they need to be pollinated and cleaned from fallen flowers.
