Why doesn't the 9pot variant has the option to extend the hight, like the 3 pot version?

Hi,

I am thinking about getting another SG maybe the 3 pot version so that i can use the 9 pot version to grow the plants i want and rotate new ones in it.
The idea would be SG3 → SG9 → outside flowerpot.

Anyhow while looking at the smaller units i saw that they come with two extension bars.
Why is that?
Should I use my 9 pot variant without the extension bars to start a new season of plants?

The extensions for the SG3 and SG9 are a bit different in height.
Overall, the SG9 extension with just the one bar will be exactly enough.

I have the 9 pod version and purchased the extenders seperately. You can also purchase addional wicks in a 9 pack, to have on hand when you have one stop working…
