Hi. My mini tomato plant grew but no tomatoes yet. It has 2 months.. do i keep it in the garden or should I put them in soil?
Hello @GildaAve
Can you share a photo of your plants?
I’m sure we can figure out what could be the issue.
It’s always good idea to repot the plant if possible.
It would need some extra light for flowering and probably would also benefit if adding extra nutrients (most importantly Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) nutrients for fruiting plants).
Thank you for sharing. Now I see much better.
No need to worry much, I see the plants have flowers, and these will become beautiful fruits.
My concern is that these plants may start lacking nutrients because they are very cramped in one pod. Click and Grow recommends thinning fruiting plants, such as mini tomatoes, chilies, piri piri, and sweet peppers, to one plant to ensure optimal yield. There are usually more seeds in the pods to ensure that something always germinates, but sometimes there are more than three seeds in one pod. ![]()
The plants will yield in Smart Garden too, and even with multiple plants in one pod, it’s possible.
Now, there’s an option to replant the tomatoes into new pots.
Here’s a guide, ‘How to transplant your plants’, with some tips.
Most important is to give good light to the newly replanted plants.
If you are in the USA region, you can find the Tabletop Grow Light on the website. Or any horticultural grow light will work, or place it near a sunny windowsill.
Use regular or tomato potting soil. Add some extra nutrients to the pot after a few weeks of growing.
Here’s an example of a singular tomato plant growing in a self-watering pot with a tabletop grow light. This plant was growing in Smart Gardens until it yielded and then it was planted into new pot and this picture is done 2.5 months after repotting.
Hi..
Thank you for being so helpful and responding.
So you suggest that I replant the tomatoes in my garden bed for more space to grow?
I already did it with my lettuce and basil.. they were growing too much, toofast! ![]()

Hi!
Yeah, absolutely - You’re a natural! ![]()
Harvesting part is the most satisfying, and then getting to use the produce.
All the best
