Wild strawberry thinning and removing leaves

@joann883 they say the first is always to sweetest :strawberry:
and there are more flowers in full bloom, looks very promising!

My strawberry plants are growing very tall, reaching 3/4 of the way to the LEDs. They are blocking out all the light from reaching underneath! Should I trim these taller healthy leaves if they are not growing flowers to allow light for the rest of the plants? Or do these tall leaves eventually grow flowering nubs from the stem?

Hi @Mikey1

It is a great idea to remove some of the tallest leaves that block most of the light. Remove them with the stem in full length. New shoots that bear flowers and fruits will emerge from the base, so feel free to remove some of the largest leaves. If the base of the plant gets more light, new leaves and flower stems will emerge soon.
